Our Northcote Chiropractic Techniques

At our clinic, we offer a number of different forms of chiropractic care. However, before we start any treatment we will ask you a series of questions related to your most pressing issues, health history and injury history, to ensure we can provide you with an accurate diagnosis and determine the root cause of your pain. Once established, we will provide you with one or more of the following treatments:

Manual Adjustments

Manual chiropractic adjustments are carried out by applying force to a locked-up joint. This technique can help you regain the full range of motion through a joint. It’s mainly used for back and neck pain relief and for those suffering from headaches.

Posture Correction

Instrument Assisted Adjustments

We  offer  instrument assisted adjustment with a very useful tool known as the ArthroStim.  The ArthroStim instrument greatly reduced the amount of force that is applied to an area, allowing us to treat more sensitive and painful areas.

ABC Manual Technique

ABC Manual Technique is a unique technique not typically seen in most chiropractic offices.  It is a form of manual therapy that’s exceptionally beneficial for patients who experience pain, movement dysfunction and body compensation due to poor posture. The technique corrects misalignments in the spine that would most likely contribute to poor posture.

Activator Technique

This technique uses a handheld, spring-loaded instrument to apply a low-force impulse to targeted areas, in order to reduce pain and restore motion in the extremities.

Hyperice Muscle Therapy

The Hyperice massage gun is used for pain relief and muscle recovery. It delivers a percussive massage to the muscles and joints in order to accelerate their recovery. Its three-speed function is designed to improve the motion and flexibility of the affected muscle or joint, as well as reduce any stiffness and enhance performance.

Pelvic Blocking Technique

Pelvic blocks are used to treat misalignments in the hips and pelvis. If either of these areas are not in the correct position, it can lead to a myriad of health conditions. Symptoms can include back, ovary, testicular or joint pain and leg length discrepancies.

A specialist table is used in the Drop Piece Technique. The table lowers slightly which causes the mobilization of a joint in a safe and controlled way. Typically it’s used to relieve tension in the back and pelvis.
